I Need to Actually Listen to My Wife

Q. If your partner could ask you to stop doing one thing to make them happier, what do you think that would be?

A. My partner says everything, only joking of course. The truth is she would like me to stop my snoring which really affects both of us.

Q. If your partner could ask you to start doing one thing to make them happier, what do you think that would be?

A. She would want me to listen more carefully because often it seems like I am listening but the truth is I am not.

Q. When things don’t go the way you want them to go, how do you handle the disappointment?

A. Well, personally I would like to think I won’t quit trying to make it happen,, whereas others might look at it differently. I might get frustrated at the start with something but I would walk away and try something different. Or I would leave it for a while then come back to see if I can achieve a different result.

Q. If the whole world was listening to you right now, what is the most important message or piece of advice you would like to give them?

A. Every morning be thankful for waking up to a new day and while you are drinking your morning coffee, say to yourself you are going to make the best choices today based upon what you do have in your life. Don’t get ahead of yourself and don’t rush around and dare to dream every day as much as you can.

Q. What is the most significant or most valuable lesson you have learnt in your life?

A. Value your integrity and your morals. Live by your code. Try to be nice and help people, even animals. Life is precious and I am talking about every living thing.

Q. What do you struggle with the most?

A. I have a habit of taking on missions that are above my abilities so I keep on failing.

Q. What kind of things do you do if any to keep your relationship alive and healthy?

A. Help out around the house, be nice, try to be a better man and make better choices.

Q. Do you consider your partners needs and opinions?

A. Yes definitely I consider them. I may not meet them all the time but I definitely consider them.

Q. Are you afraid of failure and why or why not?

A. No, because I am still alive and we always get a second chance.

Q. What do you feel is your greatest strength?

A. I honor my values and do my best to help when and where I can.

Q. What are you most grateful for in your life?

A. Breathing and being alive and allowed to have this experience.

Q. What is your biggest regret?

A. I have been quite an asshole at times when I was younger however I have now learnt better.

Q. Are you proud of who you are?

A. Yes but I am still learning so I could be prouder, I think that just develops over time and continues on.

Q. Are you a jealous person and if so how do you deal with it?

A. I was a jealous person but I guess you have to learn your boundaries. Don’t over think things, if it’s going to happen it’s going to happen. Your’e not going to die from it you just have to learn to move on.

Q. Do you give up on things easily?

A. Never, well at least I would like to say never. I may just give it a rest and do something else for a while but I never give up easy, never.

Q. Do you consider how your actions can affect others?

A. Definitely, it’s definitely a learning curve every day, I think that will never stop, we just have to do our best.

Q. How do you deal with negative thoughts?

A. As soon as I have a negative thought I replace it with a positive thought, my auntie taught me that one and it’s actually quite effective and easy. You don’t have to over think it or overdo it, you just do it, it is that simple. The negative thought is just fake anyway so it’s easy to replace.

Q. Would you consider yourself to be a confident person?

A. Well I am and I am not, yes and no. Only because I am cautious I think which seems to come across as a lack in confidence.

Q. Are you a worrier and if so how do you manage that?

A. I just tell myself to shut up basically and move on because I know it is a waste of time. At the time when I am thinking stupid stuff it’s generally for no reason, it is just a made up scenario, it’s like daydreaming but in a negative way. Don’t delve too deep into the rabbit hole, just live in the moment. You can’t go into the future and you can’t go back into the past so just live what you can right now.
